Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Manifest when you use our services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services offered by MNFST OÜ ("Manifest", "we", "us" or "our"): the Manifest website (manifestx.dev), the Manifest account dashboard (dash.manifestx.dev), the Manifest connector for AI assistants, the Manifest command-line tools, Manifest-managed hosting (including sites served on manifestx.ai and connected custom domains), and any related product, application, or service we offer (collectively, the "Service").

MNFST OÜ is a private limited company (osaühing) incorporated in Estonia, registry code 17606632, with its registered address at Tornimäe tn 5, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 10145, Estonia. Contact: team@manifestx.dev.

By creating an account, connecting the Service to an AI assistant, publishing a project, or otherwise using the Service, you ("User", "you" or "your") agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" includes it.

The open-source Manifest framework is separate from the Service: it is licensed under the MIT License, which alone governs your use of the framework's code. These Terms apply to the hosted Service, not to the framework code itself.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to use the Service. You may sign in with a third-party identity provider such as Google or GitHub, or with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for maintaining control of the email account and identity providers you use to sign in, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at team@manifestx.dev if you believe your account has been compromised.

Use through AI assistants

The Service can be operated through an AI assistant (such as Claude) via the Manifest connector. Actions your assistant takes through an authorized connection — publishing, promoting, inviting teammates, connecting domains, and the like — are treated as your actions. Review what your assistant does on your behalf; you are responsible for it. You can revoke a connection at any time from the assistant's settings.

Your content

Ownership. You retain all rights to the content you create and publish through the Service ("User Content"). We claim no ownership of it.

License to us. So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and publicly serve your User Content, and to make incidental technical copies (such as caching, backups, and format adaptation for delivery). This license exists solely to provide the Service and ends when your User Content is removed from the Service, except for backup copies retired on our normal schedule.

Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your User Content, including having all rights necessary to publish it and its compliance with law. Published sites are publicly accessible; anything you publish may be viewed, copied, or indexed by others.

Teams. When you invite someone to a project, you authorize them to access and modify that project as permitted by their role. You are responsible for whom you invite.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • publish or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or fraudulent, or that exploits or endangers minors;
  • distribute malware, or operate phishing, credential-harvesting, or otherwise deceptive sites, including sites that impersonate another person or organization;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk communications, including through project invitations;
  • probe, disrupt, or overload the Service or bypass its usage limits, quotas, or security measures;
  • infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights of others;
  • resell or white-label the Service itself without our written agreement.

We may set and revise reasonable technical limits (such as storage, bandwidth, and request rates) per plan to keep the Service reliable for everyone. Content published to sites hosted on the Service must also comply with the acceptable-use requirements of our infrastructure providers.

We may remove or disable access to User Content, or suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or applicable law, or that create risk or possible legal exposure for us, our Users, or others. Where practicable we will notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue.

To report content that violates these Terms, or an intellectual-property complaint, contact team@manifestx.dev with the site address and a description of the issue. We respond to valid notices under applicable law, including the EU Digital Services Act and the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and may pass complaints to the responsible User.

Plans, payment, and cancellation

Core publishing features are available on a free plan. Some features require a paid subscription; current prices and inclusions are shown at the point of purchase. Free-plan projects may carry a small Manifest attribution badge.

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; amounts already paid are non-refundable except where the law of your country requires otherwise. If a renewal payment fails or a subscription lapses, paid features may remain available for a short transition period, after which the project reverts to the free plan; content exceeding free-plan limits may become inaccessible until you export it, resubscribe, or reduce usage.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within fourteen (14) days. When you purchase a subscription and ask for immediate access, you consent to performance beginning at once and acknowledge that, upon full performance, the withdrawal right is lost; where you withdraw before full performance, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided.

We may change prices or plan inclusions prospectively. Price changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable advance notice so you can cancel first.

Custom domains

You may connect a domain you control to a hosted site. You represent that you are authorized to use the domain, and you remain responsible for your registration and its renewal. We provision and renew TLS certificates for connected domains as part of the Service.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by Manifest or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. The "Manifest" name and logo may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written permission, except for factual references or as the attribution badge provides. The open-source framework remains governed by the MIT License.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

Service changes and availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided without a guaranteed level of availability. We may change, add, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service as a whole or materially reduce core functionality you have paid for, we will give you reasonable advance notice and a means to export your published content.

Your published projects can be exported through the Service; keeping an independent copy of your source files is your responsibility.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT CONTENT PRODUCED WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF AN AI ASSISTANT WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES WARRANTIES OR RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANIFEST WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100).

THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY.

Indemnity

If you are not a consumer, you will defend and indemnify Manifest against claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access as described under "Acceptable use", or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and your published sites may stop being served; sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) survive.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Estonia as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the date at the top of this page and give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the Service or by email. Changes apply prospectively; if you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service and, for paid plans, cancel before the change takes effect. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
